West Country Game & Deer Park started trading on the 1st November 2010, taking over the former Stanton Deer Park.

Our aim is to build a business through supplying fresh, local game of the highest possible quality to hotels, pubs, restaurants. We have already become a regular supplier to many eating establishments locally and in London, who have appreciated not only the speed and reliability of our service, but more importantly, the quality of our meat.

We supply a wide range of game. Our feathered game includes partridge, pheasant, pigeon and duck. Other small game available includes rabbit and Muntjac. We have a regular supply of wild shot Fallow deer and Roe deer from certified stalkers which make up much of the meat found in our own range of sausages, burgers and smaller steaks. However, our main asset is our herd of Red Deer which roam freely in the 35 acre park situated in the South Cotswolds. Here we can manage the deer in a natural environment to ensure we consistently provide  some of the highest quality cuts of venison available on the market today and with 100% traceability.

All our produce is hung, skinned or plucked and butchered on our premises, then packaged ready for sale or delivery, ensuring that our meat travels the very minimum of food miles. Our buildings are approved meat processing plants, and are purpose built to cope with all types of game. We have a robust cleaning schedule which means these premises remain in the best of conditions, and allow us to maintain the highest standard of meat.

The Business Owner and Park Manager, Russell Greenman, has a wealth of knowledge in the game industry, bringing experience from previous game keeping, and shoot managing posts. We also work closely with many local stalkers and shoots.
